I've been meaning to share this little recipe with you for ages as it's been one of my favourites to make up and have in a tub in the fridge to snack on throughout the week!
Packed with protein, fibre & lots of antioxidants these little energy power houses are the perfect pre or post workout snack! In fact, they're a really healthy pick me up at any point during the day when you're feeling a little energy slump!
Plus - why not add a fruity, oaty smoothie to the mix for a post workout protein boost that your tired muscles will thank you for!
So here's what you'll need to make yourself a tub of approximately 24 little balls:
These mean green bites couldn't be easier to make - all you have to do is throw everything into a blender & blitz until is forms a thick paste. Then just use a tablespoon of mixture per ball, rolling them into shape with your hands.
Pop them into a tub and store in the fridge - they will last 10 days in the fridge, though I can't guarantee you won't gobble them up a lot quicker than that!
A word to the wise - Spirulina has a pretttty strong taste so if you're not used to it, maybe put a half teaspoon into the mix & taste it before going the whole hog!
