| 5 minute mini mani | < little triangles >

June 27, 2013

Hello all,

Soz for the lack of {DIY} posts recently - I'm terribly sorry - the craft party actually believe or not took a month to pull together?! Anyways - with tomorrow being the

big

giveaway reveal - I thought it might be nice to get a little {DIY} post on the go, rather than missing it for another week, plus, I have a ton of projects lined up that I need to do get on with - so at least thats something for you to start looking forward to!

Thanks for the kind words about my nails for the party {I know, I know -

Laura's

totally outdid mine!}, they were super easy to do - AND - because the colour doesn't reach the tips of your nails, the little design lasts forever with no chips. That's a winner in my books.

So there are a mere 3 simple steps:

DSC_0010.jpg

Firstly choose your colours {that isn't a step silly}.

DSC_0015.jpg

1//. tape a little triangle onto your nail

DSC_0017.jpg

2//. go nuts with your chosen colour

DSC_0013.jpg

3//. peel off tape immediately and admire. done.

{TIP: if you're feeling adventurous like I was and fancy the foil additions  - just cut them to shape and pop them on!}

You may want to be all professional and add a pretty top coat to seal everything in place. I did.

I hope you liked this super easy little tutorial. no skills required.

If you try it out - deffo pop it on twitter or instagram and give me a little mention @ohnorachio!

Happy Thursday!

xo.

| 5 minute mini mani | little hearts ♥

April 11, 2013

Hello all,

Since I posted my little heart nails on

Instagram

&

Twitter

last week I've had a fair few 'wowee how do you do that so neatly?" questions. So....in the name of 'sharing is caring' I thought I'd give you guys a mini tutorial on the how-to.

It literally takes 5 minutes, which is nice

and

if you're like me and pretty much constantly wear nail varnish then only having it on a teeny section of each nail also gives those talons a bit of a breather :)

p.s. please excuse my dry cuticles and nail edgy bits - that's what the allotment does to you folks!

All you need is a pretty nail varnish of your choice, and a cocktail stick handy to correct any little mistakes. You simply dab the little nail varnish brush twice on your nails to make a little 'v'. Make sure you do the second dab overlapping the first at the bottom if that makes sense...so that you get a little point. Then all you do is carefully tidy any ugly bits and use the cocktail stick to scrape off any 'blobby bits'.

Now, I'm not going to lie here, doing my left hand {I'm a leftie} was definitely more of a challenge, but I found if I took it reeeeeally slow, I managed {on the second attempt having removed the first} to get it nice and neat.

However, if you find it too difficult - these little hearts would look super cute just on one nail on each hand {or one hand...one hand works just fine too!!} on top of a pretty contrasting colour!

Let me know how you get on!

I hope it made sense?!

xo.
