*|...an elephant update...|*

Hello all,

Check out these snaps of my little white elephant planter {see the DIY tutorial here} from when I first planted him up & now - just 4 weeks!
I'm especially proud of my little bears paw over there on the right {he's my fave} but I am mildly concerned that the chappy in the middle is going to completely dwarf everything else - so might need to cut him back a bit...I get the fear when I have to chop bits off, like I'm going to kill the little things, but so far so good.

I also recently beheaded {eep} one of my massive echeverias and then decided to pull all of the leaves off to try and grow new little plantlings - the bare stem even has what appears to be four little baby plants beginning to grow off of it - so I'll have to get a picture of that when they get a little bigger!

Don't forget - if you like the look of these little planters I'm posting, you can now pre-order your own little succulent kit which includes everything you'll need to get going, at a special introductory price from my Etsy shop here!

THEY'RE HERE!

Hello all,

Happy Wednesday to you and apologies for the lack of post yesterday - I had the busiest day off ever, it was pretty manic but I managed to conquer a rather mighty to do list - so well done me!

Anyway, it's a rather exciting day today - as you can now pre-order my new hand illustrated succulent kits from my Etsy shop! I have a few up for pre-order at the special introductory price of £28, they'll be  £34 once they're fully up and running so grab one now before they go!

Each kit comes with everything you need to plant up and care for your own little succulent, including a sweet little care leaflet.

They make an awesome gift {or treat for yourself} as they are super easy to care for by even the least green fingered of individuals AND they look very pretty on a desk or sunny windowsill!

You can get your hands on one here.

Let me know what you think won't you! :)

**p.s. If you'd like to see more - Harriet got a sneaky preview of my soon to come larger succulent kit & has done a blog post with a lovely snap of it here!**

{new} to ONR | sneaky peeky |

Hello all,

I thought I'd share with you today a little project that I have been working on - it's a new product that I will soon be bringing to my little Etsy shop, just in time for summer {I hope}.

As you are I'm sure well aware, I have a bit of an addiction to succulents {there are worse things to be addicted to right?!}. Well I thought what better way to spread the love and bring a little bit of summer into all of your homes than to offer little terrarium/planter kits in my shop! They are the easiest plants to look after, and they're super forgiving if you forget to water them sometimes {oops} - so they make the perfect addition to even the most un-green fingered individual. Plus they come with all of the advice you need to keep them thriving! simples.
Each one will come with everything you need to get started with your own little succulent garden:

*//. hand illustrated cup planter
*//. proper cacti & succulent soil
*//. fine gravel
*//. the all important succulent or cacti
*//. a little care sheet
PLUS
You'll then have the option for a few pounds extra to purchase a little terrarium toolkit which will give you everything you need to keep them happy going forward!

*//. plastic spray bottle {for just the right amount of weekly water}
*//. soft bristled paint brush {for dusting soil out of the leaves}
*//. round ended tweezers {for getting rid of dead leaves but not hurting the pretties}
*//. long handled metal spoon {to move soil into hard to reach places around your plant}
*//. a little handmade canvas bag to keep it all in!

There will also be the option to opt for bigger planters with a few more plants for the adventurous ones amongst you!

I'd really love to know what you think...all comments, suggestions, questions welcome :)

{new} to ONR...scallops!

Hello all,

It's Monday again - is it just me or did that come around especially quickly this week? I hope you had a lovely weekend!

On Friday evening I had a little design epiphany - these little scalloped chaps, inspired by the many pairs of scalloped shorts & pretty tops I've been eyeing up in the shops and online for a little while now.

So far I've hand illustrated a little tea set and a rather large {& very lovely} serving bowl - but I have visions of a whole host of other pretties.
I'd really like to set up a properly styled shoot for my items, especially the ceramics, I'd love to get some summery shots of the serving ware and some of the side plates laid out with salads and other yummy treats - but I currently can't seem to conjure up appetising shots of food! It's a tricky art that - perhaps I'll need a little help!

So what do you think? Do we approve of the new design, & would you like to see it on a specific item...the mini cake stand perhaps?

These should be listed in the shop later this week - hoorah!

{new} to ONR!

Hello all,

It's a fairly grey Wednesday - which is sad, I can't wait until Spring fully kicks in and the weather gets just a little warmer...I don't know about you, but I'm fed up of having a red nose all the time!

Anyway, today I'm just popping by to share with y'all a little new product that's been added to my humble Etsy shop. Some of you may have seen a picture of the new item I posted on Twitter & Instagram with a choice of two designs. I asked everyone to vote as to which one they preferred, so thank you to all of you who voted!

I've actually listed both designs as the votes were pretty tied...so if you'd like to buy one of these little beauties - perfect for popping down all of those things you want the most - you can get your hands on one HERE! {it even comes with a hand little pen!!}.
I hope you like it - and do let me know if you have an idea for a third design! I'm always open to ideas!

dear diary...

Hello all,

One of the things I'm doing this year is keeping a diary. Not the kind with that little silver padlock and the generic flimsy silver key {though they were preettttyyy cool back in the day!} and I've ditched the fluffy pen for a slightly cooler black Muji number - but nevertheless I'm embracing the diary as a tool for reflection and ideas. You never know, by getting some of those thoughts out of my head - perhaps it'll make some room for a tonne of fresh new ones?

Anyway - with that in mind I thought I'd illustrate a little handy diary to share with you all so that you can join me in this New Year habit!

I originally went for the simple 'Dear Diary' with a little heart - but after several nostalgic comments from you lovelies over on Twitter about your childhood diaries I embraced the 90s feel and added two other designs - one with a little 'keep out' style skull and crossbones and one with everybody's favourite a good old padlock and key!

Let me know which one you like best - and if you have any suggestions for different designs, give me a shout!

If you like the look of these little books then you can get your hands on one here.

{and if you use the code TIMEOUT20 you can grab yourself 20% off them and everything else in my shop until the 22nd Jan! - bonus!}.

{etsy} a little new addition...

Hello all!

Just a little update today for you - I have a sweet little free printable to share this week that's perfect for adding to your gifts this Christmas!

But today I thought I'd share a little addition to the shop that I made yesterday. It's super sweet and rather small (A7) and is the perfect little book to pop into even the smallest handbag and jot down all of those things you just must remember to do!

I hope you like it - it would make the a rather lovely little stocking filler addition, still a couple of days left to order if you're wanting your gift shipping within the UK!
You can get yourself or a lucky friend one of these sweet little books for just £5 here!

Festivities to you all!

{YAY or NAY} baby clouds...

| UPDATE: | You can now buy one of these cheeky little chaps here!
 Hello all,

Happy post halloween Thursday...I hope you all had wild nights? I, had a night in alone, watching the horrendous rain outside, wrapped in a blanket, sewing - thinking that old hurricane Sandy might be making an appearance in Southampton.

Well, what I was sewing neatly and methodically were these little fellows...miniature versions of my happy cloud cushion. I made the first one with some excess fabric left over from making a big one for a lovely little order which I just sent off to Israel!

Anyway, the reason for this post was to test the waters and see what you lovely readers think of the little chaps....I ask, YAY or NAY to selling them on Etsy? Would you buy one to keep you company on your desk/bed and encourage you to smile even when the weather is awful these coming months?

Also, how about a mobile for a baby's nursery, or just a single cloud as a gift for a new born, or a stocking filler for kids {and adults too!}.
Any thoughts?
Also, what do you think of the tag? They are completely new to my products and I rather like them - gotta love a good heart!
I'd really love your input on this one :)

{new} mini cards!

Hello all,

Today I give you a little update to my Etsy shop! The ever wonderful Leigh of Nook & Cranny was kind enough to send me supplies for the teeny tiny cards and accompanying envelopes you see below - I must say, I don't know about you but I'm a sucker for cute little things {and stationery - this definitely plays to both those loves!}...

I wanted to put together a little pack of cards that you could keep in the drawer and have one for every occasion!

I'd love to know what occasions you find yourself often needing a card for - I intend to develop and change the set according to what people want most - as always your suggestions are most welcome!

Here is what I have on offer so far:
*available as singles or as a pack of 3
I really hope you like these new additions - they are literally 3x3 inches - eeny weeny...
Let me know what you'd like to see on these mini beauties and I'll get making!

xo.

p.s. you can get your hands on these babies here!

{update} sweets for my sweet...

Hello all,

Welcome to my new readers - there seems to be a fair few of you, so thanks - I really appreciate the support, and of course thanks to those who've been following from the start too!

Today's little update is a sweet one, literally.

A few weeks ago now a very lovely lady asked me whether I would create her a custom banner to use for her sweets table at her wedding in the big old US of A. I love custom commissions so of course said yes and this is what I created. It's similar to my bunting found here but MUCH bigger and made on thick card to be less fragile.

So without further ado, check it out - I hope Zara loves it, Jack even suggested I make us one to keep and hang in our bedroom, it fills a wall really nicely!

I hope you like it and just so you know...if anyone fancies one of these for themselves, with whatever word you so desire written upon it...give me a shout at hello@ohnorachio.com!
