a weekend in pictures.

Hello all,

This weekend I was lucky enough to be off work - it was a super ace little surprise actually as I hadn't booked it off or anything! Well, I had a huge amount of things to do, including cleaning the apartment - which looked like an unaccomplishable task - but I did it!

I thought I'd share with you some little snippets of my Saturday & Sunday :)

Saturday:
I had fun with toy dinosaurs; got hand cramp illustrating a large custom order; added some more detail to my bird illustration; bought some sweet little heart stickers for my packaging; played with my new retina display MacBook baby; got the little potato tubers out to start growing and added some washi details to some orders I had to post!

On Sunday I journeyed up to London to meet my lovely pal Bing and her awesome friend from Chicago Marie! Here are a few Sunday snaps, needless to say they are pretty much all food!

Fortnum & Mason, the most beautiful department store had so many gorgeous cakes and pastries! Plus the whole store's colour scheme is the same mint green you can see in my logo and up there on my nails {fave}, so I was most pleased!
I hope you all hid similarly lovely weekends!

{new} to ONR!

Hello all,

It's a fairly grey Wednesday - which is sad, I can't wait until Spring fully kicks in and the weather gets just a little warmer...I don't know about you, but I'm fed up of having a red nose all the time!

Anyway, today I'm just popping by to share with y'all a little new product that's been added to my humble Etsy shop. Some of you may have seen a picture of the new item I posted on Twitter & Instagram with a choice of two designs. I asked everyone to vote as to which one they preferred, so thank you to all of you who voted!

I've actually listed both designs as the votes were pretty tied...so if you'd like to buy one of these little beauties - perfect for popping down all of those things you want the most - you can get your hands on one HERE! {it even comes with a hand little pen!!}.
I hope you like it - and do let me know if you have an idea for a third design! I'm always open to ideas!

{oh my} isn't this littl'un just the cutest...

Hello all,

One of the things I love the most about making handmade gifts for people is hearing what the recipients think of my work. It always gives me that warm fuzzy feeling when I receive a sweet comment from one of my customers!

So I got an even warmer fuzzier feeling when two of my lovely customers Faith and Max shared with me some pictures of the super cute little Amelia with the bunny that I made. Faith and Max bought it as a gift for her birth and I'm told she takes it absolutely everywhere with her. See, warm and fuzzy right?

You can get your hands on your own little bunny here! Each one is made to order, so if you want a different combination of colours, then just ask...I'll be happy to help!
Isn't she just the cutest little thing?

Thank you so much Max for sharing these photos - and thank you too to Amelia's very proud parents for letting me share them with you all!

Christmas is so near! eek!
Lots of love,
xo.

{Etsy} new festive look...

Hello all,

Thank you for your kind words about yesterday's little post. I really do love to hear your thoughts on all of my ramblings - but it means a lot that some of you felt compelled to offer your condolences on the loss of my grandma. You are all lovely lovely people.

Today I just wanted to share a small update with you...I thought I'd add a little touch of christmas spirit to my little shop! I know, I know - we're only in the second week of November...calm down Rachel...but John Lewis have started airing this years christmas advert {it's the cutest thing - watch it here}. So, if they can be all christmassy in early November and get away with it then..well, so can I!

Here is my new little shop banner...do you like it?
I was originally playing around with 'HO HO HO NO RACHIO' but it looked a little weird...

{new} mini cards!

Hello all,

Today I give you a little update to my Etsy shop! The ever wonderful Leigh of Nook & Cranny was kind enough to send me supplies for the teeny tiny cards and accompanying envelopes you see below - I must say, I don't know about you but I'm a sucker for cute little things {and stationery - this definitely plays to both those loves!}...

I wanted to put together a little pack of cards that you could keep in the drawer and have one for every occasion!

I'd love to know what occasions you find yourself often needing a card for - I intend to develop and change the set according to what people want most - as always your suggestions are most welcome!

Here is what I have on offer so far:
*available as singles or as a pack of 3
I really hope you like these new additions - they are literally 3x3 inches - eeny weeny...
Let me know what you'd like to see on these mini beauties and I'll get making!

p.s. you can get your hands on these babies here!

{hello} Nook & Cranny!

Hello all,

A little update for you today on my presence at the wonderful Nook & Cranny, right in the heart of lovely Liverpool. I've been working with the fabulous people of Nook & Cranny for a good few months now and I must say they are a rather lovely lot!

Nook & Cranny stock a huge variety of lovely products from a whole host of independent British artists. They sell cards, homeware, gifts, stationery, and lots and lots of lovely prints. I can in fact say that lots of my goodies are available from Nook & Cranny, here is a few little snaps of my products in action {photos taken by the wonderful Leigh}.

If you happen to be in Liverpool {the shop is part of the Bluecoat Gallery} you should totes pop in and say hi to the lovely ladies you will find and I challenge you to not be persuaded to part with some precious pennies!
This happy little chappy is one of my creations...I actually made him for myself but Leigh fell in love, so I made a little batch for her to sell - currently exclusively available at Nook & Cranny, but soon to be available from my own little Etsy shop!
Here we have, once again my cheerful chap amongst a lovely big display of all of my hand illustrated ceramics.
This little dinosaur looks pretty interested in my little notes moleskine journal!
Above are my tiny deer and lion prints also available...all of the items you've seen are also available here should you wish to treat yourself - or a friend perhaps!

I hope you love this wonderful little shop as much as I do!

{hello} introvert re-charging...

Hello all, just a little one today...

No not me, as I'm sure is rather blindingly obvious - I'm no introvert, however I do have a wonderful close friend who is. He lives with his friend who, like me is pretty extroverted and therefore loves to be around people all of the time {I don't ever seem to find I want alone time, weird eh?}. My pal, however   loves  a good bit of time alone to collect his thoughts. He's quite the deep thinker!

So, he wanted me to make him a cute little door sign that could help tell people when he was happy for them to just bound on into his room, and when he actually just needs his own space.

Here's what we came up with and I'm very pleased to announce that he LOVED it.

I hope you like it!

{update} sweets for my sweet...

Hello all,

Welcome to my new readers - there seems to be a fair few of you, so thanks - I really appreciate the support, and of course thanks to those who've been following from the start too!

Today's little update is a sweet one, literally.

A few weeks ago now a very lovely lady asked me whether I would create her a custom banner to use for her sweets table at her wedding in the big old US of A. I love custom commissions so of course said yes and this is what I created. It's similar to my bunting found here but MUCH bigger and made on thick card to be less fragile.

So without further ado, check it out - I hope Zara loves it, Jack even suggested I make us one to keep and hang in our bedroom, it fills a wall really nicely!

I hope you like it and just so you know...if anyone fancies one of these for themselves, with whatever word you so desire written upon it...give me a shout at hello@ohnorachio.com!
