Fall is such a beautiful season! The parks are covered with golden leaves and we can finally start layering up, feeling cosy in big jumpers and pumpkin colours. However this is also the time of the year when usually everyone gets ill and snotty. Have no fear, today I am going to share with you a tasty way to boost your immune system and feel super energised.
Blueberry & Acai smoothie- this bad boy is so delicious and packed with vitamins, antioxidants and alkaline. Berries are famous for their components which increase the defence against infection. They are also very beneficial for your skin, your heart, digestion, focus and mental health. Absolute purple power! On top of that they taste incredible, as nature knows how to make healthy candy.
What you need for this super smoothie:
- Handfulor two of blueberries
- 1 ripe banana
- A splash of almond milk (or any other plant milk)
- 1 tbsp Acai powder
- The juice of ¼ of a lemon
B L E N D!!! Simple as that.
You can use any of your favourite toppings, such as: fruit, nuts, seeds or even nut butter. I like mine with chia seeds for extra healthy fats and toasted coconut flakes for crunch and more flavour. Trust me, this is one kicks ass vegan milkshake!
