Hello all,
Happy Monday! I hope you all had a lovely weekend, it seems as though maybe, just maybe spring has actually finally come? Here's to hoping.
Anyway - here is your next instalment of our venture into the wonderful world of allotmenting! Last weekend - not this one, {too busy at work and then spring cleaning} we headed down again to the plot to check on the progress of our beloved carrots and potatoes and get on with preparing more of the soil!
Jack and I were accompanied by the ever awesome Bill and his little pal Roly, I must say - they got loads done, thinning out the soil ready for our onions and artichokes {next to the potatoes}, I decided to sand down and re-paint our number '21' and clear out our compost heap, you know, the one that is essentially just a mound of industrial rubbish!!
Here's the highlights...
So there you have it...
This week I'll be planting up the little seeds Jack & I bought - butternut squash & artichoke as well as the garlic and onions we already had. It's all still very exciting - we totally have carrots, potatoes, herbs, courgettes, cucumber, tomatoes & chillies already on the go {+ fennel & salad veg to plant}. BOOM! :)
Let me know if you guys have any more suggestions of things to attempt to grow...
xo.
