super duper spring clean...

Hello all,

So this weekend Jack and I did a super duper top to toe spring clean because quite frankly - our beautiful apartment was looking like a bit of a hovel! I'm pretty pleased with the results - we swapped around our awesome poäng chair and little Finny's house and I don't know why we never did that before?! It makes the lounge look SO much bigger! Anywhoo - this is my crib, here's a sneaky peek at where the bloggy action all happens!

{new} to ONR...scallops!

Hello all,

It's Monday again - is it just me or did that come around especially quickly this week? I hope you had a lovely weekend!

On Friday evening I had a little design epiphany - these little scalloped chaps, inspired by the many pairs of scalloped shorts & pretty tops I've been eyeing up in the shops and online for a little while now.

So far I've hand illustrated a little tea set and a rather large {& very lovely} serving bowl - but I have visions of a whole host of other pretties.
I'd really like to set up a properly styled shoot for my items, especially the ceramics, I'd love to get some summery shots of the serving ware and some of the side plates laid out with salads and other yummy treats - but I currently can't seem to conjure up appetising shots of food! It's a tricky art that - perhaps I'll need a little help!

So what do you think? Do we approve of the new design, & would you like to see it on a specific item...the mini cake stand perhaps?

These should be listed in the shop later this week - hoorah!

{dreaming of} tokyo...

Hello all!

Happy Wednesday to you - today is a pretty big deal for me because I have a big old interview up in London {I'm not scared though, I'm actually quite excited} so I would appreciate it if you are reading this - if you could send me some positive/good luck vibes?  thanks.

Anyway...I don't know about you, but I'm just wishing that spring would hurry up and come along! That 13 degrees Saturday fooled me into thinking spring was upon us, but lo and behold...we then got two days of snow and now insane icy winds. Not impressed.

It's also that time of year when I start dreaming about where I'd like to go for a nice summer holiday, and there's nowhere I want to go more than to Japan. Especially as whilst we're all shivering over here - spring really is almost in full swing over there. It's nearly cherry blossom season, or Sakura and I can't think of a more beautiful time to visit...
Aside from the stunning cherry blossoms, I could eat sushi and Japanese cuisine all day every day, and everything able to Japanese culture is incredibly interesting.

I think ideally you'd need to spend at least two or three weeks there to actually make the most of it - especially as I'd love not only to visit Tokyo, but some of the more traditional areas and visit several of its islands.

I've been researching places to stay whilst in Tokyo and things to do and see - but I'd love suggestions if any of you have already been!

Where in the world would you go if you could go anywhere tomorrow?
