{Etsy} it's party time!

Photo source, design by ONR
Hello all,

Guess what?! Well you've probably already guessed...BUT...we will be hosting a Craft Party in sunny Southampton on June 20th as part of Etsy's annual craft party!

Hopefully we'll get nice weather so that we can all sit out on the big roof terrace outside my little apartment - then we can soak up some summer sun and get our craft on!

I've got a super ace {DIY} planned for us all to do, as well as a whole host of treats including tasty summer drinks, homemade fruity ice lollies, cakes {yay cakes} and maybe even ice cream with sprinkles!

Just like the blog meet ups we hosting earlier this year - the event will be a really great opportunity to meet some like minded and very lovely people, as well as get stuck into some crafting action and have a natter whilst you enjoy a good piece of cake!

If you are in the South {or even if you're not} and fancy joining us then please do let me know in the comments below, including your email and I'll make sure I get you a proper Etsy invitation to the event!

Please share with any friends you think might also like to come, tweet about it, blog about it, shout about it if you like - the more the merrier!

Here's to an awesome {sunny} day!
More deets to come soon...

{hello} Wilderness Festival!

Hello all,

As you most probably know, this weekend I was lucky enough to enjoy a whole three days in the glorious sunshine of Cornbury Park with my lovely boy Jack.

Wilderness was absolutely amazing! The festival itself was set in woodlands and had THE coolest {freezing cold} swimming lake - which I definitely made the most of. I could write a massive post about how ace everything was - it was all ace - especially the food - well - the ice-cream, rhubarb crumble icecream none the less...I will need to find the recipe! Anyway, a massive long post is not what I'm going to write as for those of you not there it would totally be a massive *yawn* moment..

So, instead I'm sharing some pretty pictures of the weekend for you to enjoy! Cue many wildernessy pretty shots and several potentially vom inducing - but very cute couple shots!

If you get the chance next year - go.

{colour ways} Magical Morocco

Inspired by all of the wonderful colours of Marrakech's Souk (market), today's colour ways takes on a very Moroccan Twist. Here is my little short list of what to take//wear//buy in Morocco.
{clockwise from left}
//. Moroccan Oil :
Perfect for taming those over sun exposed and pool crispified ends!

//. Kaftan Dress :
Gorgeous lightweight floaty dress from ASOS, great for the insanely hot weather and pretty modest too {we wore maxi dresses into the city out of respect, but this does cover the shoulders and come the the knee}.

//. Carpe Diem Journal :
I love this 'Seize the Day' Journal. It's made for reflecting and planning your big ideas whilst lounging by the pool.

//. Tagine :
You need to tuck into a traditional meat//fish//veggie tagine if you visit Morocco, slow cooked, heavily spiced and full of fruit - they are super delish!

//. Leather Pouf :
These come in all different colours of died leather. They're hand made and just gorgeous. I didn't get one this time but next time I most definitely will!

//. Spice Cones {via here} :
These are gorgeous bursts of colour all over the Souk - the smell is amazing and the sellers are such characters!

//. YSL Ring :
I've lusted after this ring for what feels like forever! Gold, Silver and Turquoise are everywhere you look in the markets. I didn't see any Yves Saint Laurent rings, but I did have to rein in my desire to buy handfuls of the gorgeous hand made jewellery like a magpie!

Tomorrow I'll be posting a little more about my short break in Africa - it's crazy to think you can now just pop over to Africa for a few days for very few pennies!

{happy friday} little clouds in sunny oz...

G'Day all and Happy Friday!

Very exciting news from the shop...I have just sent off my very first order to Australia! (a few weeks ago actually but I didn't want to spoil the surprise!). The order was for one of each of my smily little cloud cushions. In the spirit of the upcoming Jubilympic celebrations over here I thought I'd include a little British Jubilee themed treat along with the cushions...so here's a couple of little snapshots of what I did!

Here are Sally's two little clouds, happy as Larry.

I put in some Haribo Starmix because who doesn't love a cheeky fried egg? In the back there you can see the little Jubilee treat of Limited Edition red, white and blue M&Ms :).

You can't really tell from this picture but I hung the tags with NEON pink thread.

So that was it, my first order to sunny, sunny Perth - Australia. I always like it when you order something and you find a little something extra or a cute surprise with your order or the seller has gone to extra effort with the packaging, so I like to do that when I can for my customers too :)

I also decorated the outside of the box with my leafy motif and added a bit of sparkle as you can see below!

I hope Sally receives her parcel safe and sound and that she likes the secret little treats!
Have a great weekend :)

Nearly 'Goodbye' Poorly Knees...

It's been 18 days since my naughty knee op, that's just over two weeks and I must say, I'm feeling great!

My consultant surgeon told me I'd be off work for 6 weeks and for the first 3 to 4 I wouldn't like him very much {because of the pain}.
Actually, I've been super lucky and I've had virtually no pain at all - I've had fun doing some rather ridiculous looking physio exercises - especially the ones I was given this week of putting a resistance elastic thing around my angles and waddling around keeping the bands stretched - I feel like I'm getting buns and quads of steel!

I'm going back to work pretty soon, after 4 weeks not 6 which I'm mega looking forward to - I've missed everyone a tonne and although the weather has been unbelievably ace I promise you, bumming around {aka recovering} is mind-numbingly boring!

I have however had the time to blog more, cook lots of yummy things and plan some new exciting additions to my shop so I can't complain!

{sunshine} what a contrast!

So just prior to my horrible knee op I travelled up to Edinburgh for a week away with my dear friend Bing to celebrate our close friends Jules and Steven's wedding. I've never been to bonny Scotland before and so expected it to be pretty picturesque and generally ace - it was both, but unlucky for us it literally rained for the entire time we were there (with the exception of the day of the wedding which turned out to be the most glorious sunny day!). I took some rather pretty pictures up in Scotland despite the downpour so thought I'd share them with you..it's funny actually as the unfortunate weather we had is completely different to how it's been pretty much ever since we got back!

I'll be pretty sad when this sunny spell is over..
Anyway here are some snaps of beautiful Edinburgh and one I took today during a hobbly jolly around the lovely town of Winchester - what a contrast it was!

{Hello sunny Winchester and your cute Jubilee bunting!}

xo.

P.S. Thought I'd chuck in a cheeky snap from the gorgeous Jules and the lovely Steven's wedding too...they had a photo booth with props...such FUN!

{Bing: right, Me: left}

love this...

How amazing is this glittery nail varnish? PERFECT for summer! These photos totally don't do it justice, I couldn't get a great picture but I think these capture the essence all the same! It's from Topshop..you can get it here, but it's amazing! (I think I already said that but it is!). It comes out as thick glitter, not the usual clear polish with one or two glittery specks. I did use four coats but it dries super quick.

{update} Just opened the door to a delivery man and he said "love the nails!!". ha.

I also thought I'd share some pictures I've taken today in the lovely summer sun in my garden.

Hope everyone is also getting a chance to enjoy the sun - even if it is just an hour to enjoy lunch outside!
